Myth1: Links are most important:

Iin ranking facts that have been laid down by Rand Fishkin have been that people will be found to prefer tags than links. This will mean that links will be second in preference.
Since most SEO’s will be found to use a lot of their time building links that have anchored texts, it means that they are more important to SEO’s than algorithms of search engines.
Myth 2: Meta Tags are no longer considered:

It is false to state that meta tags are not important. Below you will find a list of meta tags that one can use on their pages:
The claim that meta tags no longer matter, except the Title and meta descriptions tags is not true. Here is a list of meta tags you should use for your pages.
a. Title – You can use it to show the tone of the page by implementing 65 characters.
b. Meta Description – a small description f the page that has been incorporated with keywords should be used here.
c. Meta Keywords – Other search engines will be able to index this tag apart from Google.
d. Robots – Lack of implementation of 301 tags will lead to the use of this tag.
Despite the fact that people will be found to be saying that use of keyword meta tags are not important, they are still useful for SEO. Since they help though not largely, it would be advisable to optimize two pages whereby one will have meta keywords and the other won’t. Finding the difference is easy.
Myth 3: Google is the only search engine that should be considered to drive traffic:
Through API, Microsoft has stated that it is able to serve over three million queries. With this in mind, you will find that Google is preferred but it is not the only used search engine. If you want to measure the search engine market, find out how much traffic they send to other sites instead of their own.
